I'm Craig, a Telematics professional from Worcester.

Since 2014 I have been the Senior Support Engineer for Zeta Automotive, responsible for integrating Econospeed devices into PSV’s & HGV’s. 

Econospeed is a vehicle telematics system incorporating active acceleration control and geofenced speed limiting functionality.

Zeta Automotive is a technical engineering company and a subsidiary of Arriva, a large European public transport company operating buses and trains. Zeta’s EconoSpeed product is a vehicle telematics system incorporating active acceleration control and speed limiting functionality.

Appointed as Support Engineer and tasked with designing installation solutions to integrate Zeta’s Econospeed devices into vehicles across the Arriva bus fleet. I developed the process of survey > design > prototype to produce vehicle specific install packs for fitment by Arriva engineers. I produced installation and technical documentation and conducted engineer training throughout the UK & Europe. Additionally, I was responsible for agreeing acceptable system configurations with stakeholders at all levels.

Promoted to Senior Support Engineer in 2016, my roll became predominately office based. I continue to provide 2nd & 3rd line technical support, ongoing customer training and device test & repair and work closely with the sales team, answering technical questions and presenting information to customers during sales meetings. 

Econospeed successfully rolled out to 3000 vehicles in the UK and an additional 500 vehicles in Europe.

Regional Auto Electrician

Appointed as the Auto Electrician at Rotala’s Tividale depot I was quickly promoted to a regional position, responsible for Pre-emptive and on-demand electrical maintenance of vehicle and ancillary systems for their 200 bus fleet across The West Midlands and South West regions. 

Bowman Uplift Engineer
2011 - 2012 (Temporary Contract)

Bowman is the tactical communications system used by the British armed forces. I was part of the uplift team tasked with upgrading devices to BCIP5, both in house and on site at military bases around the UK.

Electrical Engineer
2010 - 2011 (Temporary Contract)

Wiring harnesses and electrical cabinet builds from schematic drawings for fitment to new build cash in transit and blue light vehicles. Vehicle harness modifications to facilitate security devices. Quality control & auditing.

Travel Experience

My current roll involves extensive travel throughout the UK & Europe.

International Travel

Travelling with work has sparked a passion for travel in my spare time, I'm currently planning a family trip to India.

Domestic Travel

I am comfortable travelling long distances to meet with clients around the UK. I've even managed to maintain a clean driving license. 

Managing Budget

I always keep travel costs to a minimum by carefully planning flights and choosing suitable hotels.

Staying away

Nights away are inevitable when working remotely. I'm happy to stay in a hotel whenever necessary.
